Car Accidents
Most insurers cover acupuncture as a means to assist the healing process after a motor vehicle accident. This is because clinical trials and studies from around the world have found that acupuncture is an effective treatment for accident-related injuries like:
- Headache and head injuries
- Knee pain
- Low back pain
- Stiff neck or neck pain
- Shoulder pain
- Spine pain
- Postoperative pain
- Sprain
- Sports injuries
- Joint stress or injury
- Repetitive stress injuries like carpal tunnel
- Sciatica
- And more
Acupuncture and other Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) treatments like cupping or gua sha can help to reduce inflammation and pain holistically, allowing the body to heal itself. Additionally, treatment that uses TCM as a base restores the harmony of your body’s natural flow of life force energy – called Qi. This attunement of your Qi can help you to feel more comfortable while also speeding the natural healing process.
You may feel that popping a few anti-inflammatory drugs and icing your injury will resolve your pain, but studies have shown that using these drugs excessively may be impeding the body’s natural healing response. This is one place where acupuncture can step in. Instead of slowing the body’s natural response, it stimulates healing While performing as a natural anti-inflammatory and pain reliever.
Additionally, holistic TCM treatments like acupuncture can help you relax and de-stress, which are essential after a traumatic injury like a motor vehicle accident or car accident. The simple action of reducing anxiety and stress can help to trigger your body’s natural healing mechanisms. Acupuncture and similar treatments like cupping are also pain-free and side effect-free, giving them an edge over most traumatic injury treatments.
If you are looking to treat a recent motor vehicle accident or sports injury naturally and holistically, contact Attunement Wellness today. We can provide you with the stress and pain relief you need for rapid, pain-free healing.
EXCELLENT Based on 42 reviews Posted on Emily CarlinTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was in the final weeks of training for a marathon when I started running experiencing lower back pain that made it difficult enough to run that I wasn’t sure I would make it to the start line of the race. When I stumbled across Attunement Wellness it was a last ditch effort to resolve the stiffness that threatened my race. I had three sessions with Dr. Brunner in a week and the results were fantastic. She focused on relieving the pressure in my back by addressing the tightness in my legs and glutes, which I’d become so acclimatized to after years of running that I hadn’t imagined they were the cause of my back pain. I had some mild soreness after the first session, which Dr. Brunner assured me was normal. By the end of the second session I felt more hopeful. My lower back pain was significantly reduced. After the third session I felt a transformative unwinding of tension in my posterior chain that is difficult to describe- I’d been living with so much stored tightness that reduced my flexibility but because it had been slow to build over years of running I wasn’t even entirely aware of it until it felt better. Both Dr. Brunner and Leslie at the front desk were incredibly warm and reassuring. I absolutely love running and training for races but naturally with high mileage, aches and pains accumulate. I’ve found many practitioners to be dismissive of issues I experience while running advising only to reduce running rather than working with me to be able to feel best at what I love to do. Because both Dr. Brunner and Leslie are athletes (dance and running) they really understood my desire to perform and want to feel my best while continuing to push my body. 2 weeks later I ran a PR at the marathon, qualified for NY and Boston, and raced a negative split- best of all I felt great while I was running and did not experience any back pain at all. I’m so grateful to Dr. Brunner and would highly recommend her to anyone experiencing pain but especially to any any athletes or active people who might be in need of a tune up. I felt a nonjudgmental presence when Dr. Dani Brunner completed the intake with me, as this was my first time trying acupuncture. Her treatments have already helped immensely with something I have been struggling with for months despite multiple visits to various doctors. She is gentle, understanding, knowledgeable, and has a very calming demeanor. You can tell she cares deeply about her patients and is passionate about what she does. I DEFINITELY have and will continue to recommend Attunement Wellness to all my friends and family. Thank you, for all that you do!!Posted on Aprylle ReignTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Rachel does an excellent massage and it really helps with my tension and sore muscles.Posted on Brenda ChirindoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Attunement Wellness provides excellent alternative care treatment! I seen multiple providers who support me for plantar fasciitis treatment. Dr. Randy helped me get custom orthotics that are very well made - my podiatrist really likes the design and quality. Rachel has been an excellent massage therapist. I have been getting professional massages for the majority of my adult life and Rachel is one of the best providers I have seen! She goes beyond relaxation and supports my recovery. I was facing the possibility of surgery at the recommendation of my podiatrist and Rachel encouraged me to see Dr. Dani as I really wanted to avoid surgury. After several weeks of treatment I had dramatic improvement from the acupuncture treatment. Dr. Dani also gave me several at home treatment recommendations to support and speed my recovery. I am now confident I can avoid surgery! This office is a team of kind, caring practitioners who work together. I am really grateful for their care.
