The Recovery Room · Attunement Wellness
Twenty minutes of deep repair, light and warmth working together.
What it is
A standalone reset, or an add-on to any visit.
The Recovery Room pairs two technologies that do different jobs at once. Underneath you, the BioMat delivers gentle far-infrared heat that reaches muscle and fascia. Above you, the LED light therapy panel bathes the skin in three therapeutic wavelengths of light.
No appointment needed. Add it to acupuncture, chiropractic, or massage, or come in for a 20-minute session on its own. You stay fully clothed and simply rest.
Two technologies. One quiet room. Heat reaching inward, light working at the surface — both nudging your body toward its own repair.
THE TWO HALVES OF THE ROOM
Warmth from below, light from above
01 · The BioMat Chakra Stone Mat
Beneath you. A full-body infrared mat woven with seven bands of natural precious stones — one band for each chakra, running root to crown. When warmed, the stones emit steady far-infrared rays (FIR), the same deep, penetrating warmth used in clinical infrared saunas, delivered gently at body level instead of in a hot room.
Far-infrared reaches several inches into muscle and fascia, meeting tension and inflammation closer to the source than a surface heating pad ever could. The mat also emits negative ions, associated with a calmer nervous system and lower stress, and includes EMF-blocking technology. It is built on the same FDA-registered far-infrared principles cleared for temporary relief of minor muscle and joint pain and for increasing local circulation.
- Full body · 31.5″ × 75″
- 7 stone bands · chakra layout
- Adjustable heat · 86–147°F
- EMF-blocking · negative ions

02 · The LED Light Therapy Panel
Above you. A clinical-grade light panel delivering three therapeutic wavelengths at once — red, yellow, and blue — at an output comparable to dermatology equipment. This is photobiomodulation: specific colors of light absorbed by your cells to gently switch on natural repair processes.
It is the same family of technology NASA first studied for wound healing in space. Light is non-thermal, painless, and needs no downtime. Each wavelength reaches a different depth and does a different job, which is why all three run together.
- 1,226+ LEDs
- 15,000+ lumens
- 3 wavelengths · 650 / 590 / 450 nm
INSIDE THE BIOMAT
Seven stones, seven energy centers

The professional-grade BioMat is woven with seven bands of natural precious stones — one for each of the body’s seven chakras, the energy centers that run from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. Laid out as a rainbow from root to crown, each band pairs a stone with the area of the body it traditionally supports.
| Chakra | Stone | What it supports |
| Crown · top of the head | Amethyst | Assists with physical and emotional issues. |
| Third Eye · brow | Sodalite | Brings emotional balance and enhances self-esteem. |
| Throat · base of throat | Blue Lace Agate | Assists with verbal expression of thoughts and feelings. |
| Heart · center of chest | Green Aventurine | Dissolves negative emotions and thoughts. |
| Solar Plexus · upper abdomen | Yellow Aventurine | Helps focus intentions and provides ease in being yourself. |
| Sacral · below the navel | Carnelian | Promotes positive life choices and motivates for success. |
| Root · base of the spine | Red Jasper | Brings insight into difficult situations and calms the emotions. |
The chakra and gemstone framework is a traditional energy-medicine practice, offered as part of the experience. The warmth, the stones, and the quiet set the stage — and then the light goes to work, with effects you can measure.
FROM THE MAT TO THE LIGHT
This isn't the gadget on your bathroom shelf
Red light therapy is everywhere now — face masks, wands, panels you can buy online. They’re pleasant, but most home devices are low-powered, single-wavelength, and built to a price.
The light above you in the Recovery Room is medical-grade: a clinical panel delivering 1,226+ LEDs and 15,000+ lumens across three precise wavelengths at once. That’s the difference between light that feels nice and light that produces the results in the studies below.
| Typical at-home device | Medical-grade LED light therapy |
| Usually one wavelength (red only) | Three wavelengths at once — red, yellow, blue |
| Low output; longer, inconsistent sessions | 15,000+ lumens, 1,226+ LEDs — clinical intensity |
| Used alone, distracted, on the couch | Paired with far-infrared warmth in a quiet room |
THE THREE WAVELENGTHS
Each color, and what the research shows
Different wavelengths penetrate to different depths and trigger different effects. Tap each to see what it does and the clinical evidence behind it.
Yellow · calm & tone
Blue · clarity & breakouts
650 nm · Red light — recovery, collagen & deeper repair
Red light is absorbed deep in the skin by your cells’ mitochondria, prompting them to make more energy (ATP). That extra fuel stimulates fibroblasts — the cells that build collagen and elastin — while calming inflammation. The result is firmer skin, softer fine lines, and faster tissue recovery.
- Collagen density measurably increased. In a controlled trial, red-light photobiomodulation produced significant gains in intradermal collagen density and visible reduction of wrinkles and skin roughness versus untreated controls. (Wunsch & Matuschka, Photomedicine and Laser Surgery)
- 87% saw smoother skin after 12 sessions. Using a 660 nm LED source, over 90% of participants showed reduced wrinkle depth and surface roughness, and 87% improved on a blinded wrinkle-severity score. (Barolet et al., Journal of Investigative Dermatology)
Yellow (amber) light works closer to the surface, where it’s absorbed by blood vessels and pigment-related cells. It’s prized for being gentle — calming redness and flushing, supporting circulation, and easing skin after more intensive treatments, all without irritation or peeling.
- Photoaging improved, collagen rose in 100% of subjects. Across two clinical studies, 590 nm yellow LED reduced visible photoaging by a full wrinkle class in 90% of subjects, with histology showing increased collagen in every post-treatment participant. (Weiss et al., reviewed in J Clin Aesthet Dermatol)
- Protected skin during radiation treatment. When 590 nm LED was applied after radiation therapy, nearly 95% of treated patients had only a minimal skin reaction, versus most untreated patients developing moderate-to-severe irritation. (DeLand et al.)
Blue light targets the bacteria behind breakouts (C. acnes). The bacteria contain natural compounds called porphyrins; when blue light hits them, it triggers a reaction that destroys the bacteria from within — helping reduce blemishes and improve overall clarity.
- Clogged pores dropped significantly within a week. In a clinical evaluation of blue-light therapy for mild-to-moderate acne, the total number of blemishes fell significantly by day 7 and continued dropping through day 28. (J Clin Aesthet Dermatol)
- Inflammatory lesions cut 40%+ in most users. A systematic review reported inflammatory lesions dropping at least 40% in roughly 82% of treated areas after 12 weeks, versus only 18% in untreated controls. (Systematic review, effect of blue light on acne vulgaris)
WHY PEOPLE COME BACK
What twenty minutes can do
Muscle & joint relief
Far-infrared warmth reaches several inches into muscle and fascia, easing stiffness and minor aches at the source.
Faster bounce-back
Improved circulation delivers more oxygen and nutrients to tired or recovering tissue after training or injury.
Clearer, firmer skin
Red builds collagen, yellow calms redness, blue clears breakouts; tone, texture, and clarity over a series.
Stress comes down
Gentle heat and negative-ion exposure help quiet the nervous system and lower the felt sense of stress.
Better rest
Many people report deeper, easier sleep with regular sessions.
Circulation & lymph
Warmth and light together support blood flow and lymphatic drainage; a lighter, more grounded feeling.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Some of it you feel today. Some builds over a series.
| First 5 min | The shift — warmth settles in, the room quiets, and most people feel themselves relax. |
| Same day | Looser & calmer — eased muscle tension, a lighter feeling, and often better sleep that night. |
| 2–4 weeks | Skin starts to answer — with regular sessions, clearer skin and calmer redness become visible. |
| 8–12 weeks | Collagen remodels — firmness, tone, and fewer fine lines become evident. |

Frequently Asked Questions
I've never done this. What actually happens in a session?
You stay fully clothed and lie back on the warmed BioMat while the LED panel works above you for about 20 minutes. There’s nothing to do but rest — many people close their eyes, some drift off. You’ll feel gentle warmth and see the colored light; that’s it.
What's the difference between the BioMat and the light?
The BioMat is underneath you and uses far-infrared heat to reach deep into muscle and fascia. The LED panel is above you and uses non-thermal light at three wavelengths to work on the skin and surface tissue. Heat goes deep; light works closer to the surface. They run together because they complement each other.
Does it hurt? Is there any downtime?
No on both counts. LED light therapy is painless and non-invasive, the BioMat is simply pleasant warmth, and there’s no recovery time afterward. You can return to your day immediately.
How many sessions will I need?
One session is restorative on its own and great for recovery or stress. For skin goals like collagen, tone, or breakouts, the research points to a series — benefits build over several weeks, typically becoming clearly visible around the 4-to-12-week mark. Ask us about session packages.
Can I add it to my acupuncture, chiro, or massage visit?
Yes — that’s how many of our patients use it. It works as an add-on to any service, or you can book it as a standalone 20-minute appointment. No appointment is needed to add it on.
Is it safe? Are there reasons not to do it?
Both technologies are well-tolerated with strong safety records, and the BioMat is built on FDA-registered far-infrared technology. If you’re pregnant, have a heat-sensitive condition, take photosensitizing medication, or have a specific health concern, just let us know first and we’ll make sure it’s a good fit.
What should I do to prepare?
Nothing special. Come as you are, stay hydrated, and if you’re focused on the skin benefits, arrive with a clean face so the light reaches the skin directly. Comfortable clothing is ideal since you’ll be resting.

EXCELLENT Based on 49 reviews Posted on Google David SimmonsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have been getting massage regularly for years with several very good massage therapists. A few months ago I started using Patrick, and he is absolutely the best! Very professional, very thorough, and has technics that work out every kink while putting you in a very relaxed state!Posted on Google Winifred GrahamTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have had such a great experience with Dr Will and Dr Dani! They are the best that I have ever been to. I told Dr Will that's saying a lot because I'm old! I wish him well on his new adventure ✌️Posted on Google Stephanie WomackTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was a patient of Dr. Moore's at a different clinic and he was instrumental in helping alleviate pain from a shoulder injury along with chronic headaches and corrected much of the scoliosis I had since I was a kid. I really appreciated his helpful education, creative techniques and interventions, and the fact that he's just a kind, empathetic person that makes me feel comfortable. I moved away from that clinic and wasn't able to return, so finding another chiropractor to treat tendonitis in my wrists and knees that provided the same level of care had proven difficult. I was pretty excited to learn that he had moved to Attunement since it's really close to where I live now. Since working with him again, I have experienced quite a bit of relief from the tendonitis pain and feel like I'm actually doing something about correcting it! I highly recommend Dr. Moore! The clinic itself is also beautiful and in a great location!Posted on Google Andrea AngellTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Went in for neck pain and pain resolved within 24 hours. I’ll continue to see Dr Dani.Posted on Google Joseph VossTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have been a patient of Dr. Danielle Brunner at Attunement Wellness for several weeks. I was about to give up on finding anyone who could provide relief for an extremely painful neck and shoulder. Dr. Brunner spent a great deal of time with me to explore a treatment plan and care regimen. Through electroacupuncture and cupping therapy she has been able to release extremely tight muscles knots and skeletal posture and is providing much needed and appreciated relief. Dr, Brunner takes a wholistic approach to health and wellness and she has helped me immeasurable through her therapeutic practice.,Posted on Google Christina HernandezTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have seen many practitioners at Attunement Wellness over the past 5 years and have been so grateful for the care I've received there when learning to manage my chronic pain. My original reason for going in was low back pain but Dr. Dani has helped me understand so much more the issues my body experiences including hormones, gastrointestinal issues, acute injuries, sleep quality, and overall emotional health. All of the providers I've seen here have taken phenomenal care of me, but Dr. Dani, the owner and founder is so knowledgable, kind, communicative, and caring. 10/10 recommendPosted on Google Bob HammittTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Attunement Wellness is filled with compassionate, skilled, and wonderful people. Most of my appointments have been with Dr. Brunner and she is amazing. I'm a 54 year old marathon runner. Every time I have something start to hurt, I go immediately to Dr. Brunner and she gets me back on track, usually in just a visit or two. She does not back down from a challenge. She works hard to figure out the problem and get it solved. I've also had other visits at attunement for massage and chiopractic work, and everyone there is an outstanding healer. I strongly recommend giving Attunement Wellness a try.Posted on Google Emily CarlinTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was in the final weeks of training for a marathon when I started running experiencing lower back pain that made it difficult enough to run that I wasn’t sure I would make it to the start line of the race. When I stumbled across Attunement Wellness it was a last ditch effort to resolve the stiffness that threatened my race. I had three sessions with Dr. Brunner in a week and the results were fantastic. She focused on relieving the pressure in my back by addressing the tightness in my legs and glutes, which I’d become so acclimatized to after years of running that I hadn’t imagined they were the cause of my back pain. I had some mild soreness after the first session, which Dr. Brunner assured me was normal. By the end of the second session I felt more hopeful. My lower back pain was significantly reduced. After the third session I felt a transformative unwinding of tension in my posterior chain that is difficult to describe- I’d been living with so much stored tightness that reduced my flexibility but because it had been slow to build over years of running I wasn’t even entirely aware of it until it felt better. Both Dr. Brunner and Leslie at the front desk were incredibly warm and reassuring. I absolutely love running and training for races but naturally with high mileage, aches and pains accumulate. I’ve found many practitioners to be dismissive of issues I experience while running advising only to reduce running rather than working with me to be able to feel best at what I love to do. Because both Dr. Brunner and Leslie are athletes (dance and running) they really understood my desire to perform and want to feel my best while continuing to push my body. 2 weeks later I ran a PR at the marathon, qualified for NY and Boston, and raced a negative split- best of all I felt great while I was running and did not experience any back pain at all. I’m so grateful to Dr. Brunner and would highly recommend her to anyone experiencing pain but especially to any any athletes or active people who might be in need of a tune up. I came in with a serious neck injury, and the acupuncture treatments made a world of difference. They were professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and truly invested in their patients. I’m so grateful for the care and relief I received—highly recommend!
