Twenty minutes of deep repair, light and warmth working together.
Lie back on a far-infrared Biomat while medical-grade LED light works above you. Most people feel the shift within the first five minutes.
A standalone reset, or an add-on to any visit.
The Recovery Room pairs two technologies that do different jobs at once. Underneath you, the BioMat delivers gentle far-infrared heat that reaches muscle and fascia. Above you, the LED light therapy panel bathes the skin in three therapeutic wavelengths of light.
No appointment needed. Add it to acupuncture, chiropractic, or massage, or come in for a 20-minute session on its own. You stay fully clothed and simply rest.
Two technologies. One quiet room. Heat reaching inward, light working at the surface — both nudging your body toward its own repair.
Warmth from below, light from above.
You don’t need to know any of the science to feel the difference. But here’s what each piece is actually doing while you rest.
The BioMat Chakra Stone Mat
A full-body infrared mat woven with seven bands of natural precious stones — one band for each chakra, running root to crown. When warmed, the stones emit steady far-infrared rays (FIR), the same kind of deep, penetrating warmth used in clinical infrared saunas, delivered gently at body level instead of in a hot room.
Far-infrared reaches several inches into muscle and fascia, meeting tension and inflammation closer to the source than a surface heating pad ever could. The mat also emits negative ions, which are associated with a calmer nervous system and lower stress, and includes EMF-blocking technology. It’s built on the same FDA-registered far-infrared principles cleared for temporary relief of minor muscle and joint pain and for increasing local circulation.

The LED Light Therapy Panel
A clinical-grade light panel delivering three therapeutic wavelengths at once — red, yellow, and blue — at an output comparable to dermatology equipment. This is photobiomodulation: specific colors of light absorbed by your cells to gently switch on natural repair processes.
It’s the same family of technology NASA first studied for wound healing in space. Light is non-thermal, painless, and needs no downtime. Each wavelength reaches a different depth and does a different job, which is why all three run together.

Seven stones, seven energy centers.
The professional-grade BioMat is woven with seven bands of natural precious stones — one for each of the body’s seven chakras, the energy centers that run from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. Laid out as a rainbow from root to crown, each band pairs a stone with the area of the body it traditionally supports.
As the mat warms, the stones release far-infrared rays and negative ions. The seven-stone layout is a traditional framework for mapping that warmth to the body’s energy centers — root to crown — so the session feels intentional rather than uniform. Here are the seven stones built into the mat, and what each is said to support.
The chakra and gemstone framework is a traditional energy-medicine practice, offered as part of the experience. The warmth, the stones, and the quiet set the stage — and then the light goes to work, with effects you can measure.
This isn’t the gadget on your bathroom shelf.
Red light therapy is everywhere now — face masks, wands, panels you can buy online. They’re pleasant, but most home devices are low-powered, single-wavelength, and built to a price.
The light above you in the Recovery Room is medical-grade: a clinical panel delivering 1,226+ LEDs and 15,000+ lumens across three precise wavelengths at once — output comparable to dermatology equipment. That’s the difference between light that feels nice and light that produces the results in the studies below.
Each color, and what the research shows.
Different wavelengths penetrate to different depths and trigger different effects. Tap each to see what it does and the clinical evidence behind it.
Yellow · calm & tone
Blue · clarity & breakouts
Recovery, collagen & deeper repair
Red light is absorbed deep in the skin by your cells’ mitochondria, prompting them to make more energy (ATP). That extra fuel stimulates fibroblasts — the cells that build collagen and elastin — while calming inflammation. The result is firmer skin, softer fine lines, and faster tissue recovery.
In a controlled trial, red-light photobiomodulation produced significant gains in intradermal collagen density and visible reduction of wrinkles and skin roughness versus untreated controls — confirmed by blinded photo evaluation and ultrasound.
Wunsch & Matuschka, Photomedicine and Laser Surgery (controlled trial, PMC)
Using a 660 nm LED source, over 90% of participants showed reduced wrinkle depth and surface roughness, and 87% improved on a blinded wrinkle-severity score — with the study reversing the collagen breakdown markers tied to aging.
Barolet et al., Journal of Investigative Dermatology (single-blinded study)
Calming redness & evening tone
Yellow (amber) light works closer to the surface, where it’s absorbed by blood vessels and pigment-related cells. It’s prized for being gentle — calming redness and flushing, supporting circulation and lymphatic drainage, and easing skin after more intensive treatments, all without irritation or peeling.
Across two clinical studies of mild-to-moderate photoaging, 590 nm yellow LED reduced visible photoaging by a full wrinkle class in 90% of subjects, with histology showing increased collagen in every post-treatment participant.
Weiss et al., reviewed in Journal of Clinical & Aesthetic Dermatology (PMC)
When 590 nm LED was applied after radiation therapy, nearly 95% of treated patients had only a minimal skin reaction, compared with most untreated patients developing moderate-to-severe irritation — pointing to a real calming, protective effect.
DeLand et al., yellow LED photomodulation study (PMC review)
Clearer skin & fewer breakouts
Blue light targets the bacteria behind breakouts (C. acnes). The bacteria contain natural compounds called porphyrins; when blue light hits them, it triggers a reaction that destroys the bacteria from within — helping reduce blemishes and improve overall clarity.
In a clinical evaluation of blue-light therapy for mild-to-moderate acne, the total number of blemishes fell significantly by day 7 and continued dropping through day 28, with blackheads reduced significantly over the treatment period.
Self-applied blue-light acne study, J Clin Aesthet Dermatol (PMC)
A systematic review of blue light for acne reported inflammatory lesions dropping at least 40% in roughly 82% of treated areas after 12 weeks, versus only 18% improvement in untreated controls.

What twenty minutes can do.
The Biomat and the light panel overlap in some benefits and cover different ground in others. Together they support recovery, skin, and the nervous system in one session.
Muscle & joint relief
Far-infrared warmth reaches several inches into muscle and fascia, easing stiffness and minor aches at the source.
Faster bounce-back
Improved circulation delivers more oxygen and nutrients to tired or recovering tissue after training or injury.
Clearer, firmer skin
Red builds collagen, yellow calms redness, blue clears breakouts — tone, texture, and clarity over a series.
Stress comes down
Gentle heat and negative-ion exposure help quiet the nervous system and lower the felt sense of stress.
Better rest
Many people report deeper, easier sleep with regular sessions as the body settles into recovery mode.
Circulation & lymph
Warmth and light together support blood flow and lymphatic drainage — a lighter, more grounded feeling.
Some of it you feel today. Some builds over a series.
A single session is genuinely restorative on its own. But like exercise or any recovery practice, the skin and structural benefits compound with repetition — which is why we offer session packages.

Questions, answered.
I’ve never done this. What actually happens in a session?
You stay fully clothed and lie back on the warmed Biomat while the LED panel works above you for about 20 minutes. There’s nothing to do but rest — many people close their eyes, some drift off. You’ll feel gentle warmth and see the colored light; that’s it.
What’s the difference between the Biomat and the light?
The Biomat is underneath you and uses far-infrared heat to reach deep into muscle and fascia. The LED panel is above you and uses non-thermal light at three wavelengths to work on the skin and surface tissue. Heat goes deep; light works closer to the surface. They complement each other, which is why we run them together.
Does it hurt? Is there any downtime?
No on both counts. LED light therapy is painless and non-invasive, the Biomat is simply pleasant warmth, and there’s no recovery time afterward. You can return to your day immediately.
How many sessions will I need?
One session is restorative on its own and great for recovery or stress. For skin goals like collagen, tone, or breakouts, the research points to a series — benefits build over several weeks of regular sessions, typically becoming clearly visible around the 4-to-12-week mark. Ask us about session packages.
Can I add it to my acupuncture, chiro, or massage visit?
Yes — that’s how many of our patients use it. It works beautifully as an add-on to any service, or you can book it as a standalone 20-minute appointment. No appointment is needed to add it on.
Is it safe? Are there reasons not to do it?
Both technologies are well-tolerated with strong safety records, and the Biomat is built on FDA-registered far-infrared technology. That said, if you’re pregnant, have a heat-sensitive condition, take photosensitizing medication, or have a specific health concern, just let us know first and we’ll make sure it’s a good fit for you.
What should I do to prepare?
Nothing special. Come as you are, stay hydrated, and if you’re focused on the skin benefits, arrive with a clean face so the light reaches the skin directly. Comfortable clothing is ideal since you’ll be resting.
Twenty minutes of quiet, on your schedule.
No appointment, no provider needed — just you and the Recovery Room. Add a session to any visit, or drop in on its own. Packs are perfect between your regular appointments.
